The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE)
The Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) is India's leading recognised professional society devoted to the advancement of Science and Technology of Electronics, Telecommunication & IT, founded in 1953. The IETE is the National Apex Professional body of Electronics and Telecommunication, Computer Science and IT Professionals. The objective of IETE focuses on advancing electro-technology.
In the APSIT College, IETE student Forum (ISF) was inaugurated on 22nd August 2017.There are total 56 ISF members from the Electronics and telecommunication department and 6 staff members have IETE membership. The following events are carried out under the ISF.

Benefits to ISF Student Members:-
All the members of IETE Students Forum can explore their knowledge by participating in different technical events carried out throughout the year and the certificates of the same can help in upgrading their resume. The ISF students have priority for publishing their papers in IETE Journal of education. They can also subscribe for other publication of the IETE, viz. IETE Journal of Research and IETE Tech Review at fifty percent of subscription rate. They are also encouraged to attend all IETE Technical programmes arranged in India at a reduced registration fee.

The following awards are available to the students of IETE:-
Cash prizes of Rs.10,000/-, Rs.5,000/- and Rs.3,000/- for being amongst the first three position of IETE National Technical Paper Contest.
